FLHSMV – Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, as the name suggests, regulates rules that are meant to keep people of Florida safe on the roads. The department covers driver licenses and ID cards, education and courses related to highway safety and motor vehicles, driver license check and tracking system for non-commercial and commercial drivers, driver license handbook, driver record, license plates and registration, disabled person parking permits, covered farm vehicles, among other areas that make sure that the right and responsible people are driving vehicles on the road.
All the systems mentioned earlier in place ensure an organized environment to check and cross-check the genuineness of the license holder and their ability to drive safely on the roads.
Just like we have the Department of Health and medicine to regulate the medical professionals and medicine similarly, the Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles Department covers the ins and outs of road safety, vehicles, licenses, tracking, and record checking.
